Stage 2 participated in an Olympic themed gala day at school on Wednesday 4th August. Students were split into teams and they spent the morning brainstorming a name for their team, designing a flag, a uniform item and a war cry. We then had an opening ceremony before teams completed 8 rotations of different activities including a basketball shootout, egg and spoon obstacle course, "canoeing," soccer, skipping marathon, vortex and the beep test. The points are being counted and the winning team will be revealed very soon!

On Monday 26th April, Stage 2 went on an excursion to the Bingie Dreaming track as part of our History unit about Connection to Country. The weather was perfect and 4M enjoyed walking along the beach and bush, drawing indigenous animals in the sand, and listening to talks from elders Trish and Kerry about native animals and plant food and medicine.
On 16th March, Stage 2 participated in an AFL Gala Day with St Peters. The students learned AFL skills and participated in a number of matches where they competed against their peers and St Peters students. A great day was had by all! Notes have been handed out to those students who are interested in playing AFL outside of school. I could see a few star AFL players in the making out on the field!
